Hello and Welcome to Controlled Chaos: in Theory & Practice
A reflective blog on work, systems, curiosity, books, travel, and everyday life. Thoughtful writing with wit, clarity, and no performative insight.
I’m Greta. Professionally, I spend a lot of time coordinating chaos, which is not an official job title but probably should be.
I work in healthcare and think often about what happens when complex systems meet real people. I’m ambitious, reflective by nature, and unapologetically reliant on a good cup of coffee. I usually look fairly composed. What’s happening behind the scenes is sometimes best described as calm improvisation. Sometimes…
This blog sits in the space between theory and lived experience. It is interested in what makes sense on paper and what survives contact with reality. You will not find declarations or ready-made answers here, but thoughtful reflection, curiosity, and a willingness to leave some questions open.
I write about experience without listing credentials, about life without turning it into a diary, and about ideas before they have fully settled. Posts are shaped by work, reading, travel, conversation, and the habit of noticing patterns once they start repeating themselves. Much of it circles around being capable while still questioning your own thinking, and learning to live comfortably with that tension.
This is not a place for productivity theatre, motivational speeches, or attention-seeking opinions. It is slower, more deliberate, and occasionally amused by its own seriousness. A space for clear thinking, honest reflection, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
Happy reading, I guess.
Sincerely, G–
